We are excited to announce the addition of Jon Huth to our pitching staff. Currently an Associate MLB Scout for the Texas Rangers, Jon is a well-known figure in the Eau Claire Baseball community and he brings with him an impressive resume.
A graduate of Eau Claire North HS and Waldorf University, Jon was drafted as a pitcher by the Texas Rangers in the 31st round of the MLB Draft in 1988. He also went on to pitch in the Kansas City Royals organization. He went on to play 11 seasons for the Eau Claire Cavaliers where he amassed a 44-13 career win-loss record (.772 win pct.). Following his time with the Cavaliers he spent 8 more seasons with the Eau Claire Bears, where he totaled 29 career wins and only 7 losses (.806 win pct.). The all-time CRBL ERA leader with a 1.67 ERA, Jon also has 5 Hall-of-Fame Inductions to his name: Eau Claire Baseball HOF, Eau Claire Cavaliers HOF, Eau Claire Bears HOF, Eau Claire North High School HOF, and the Chippewa Rivers Baseball League (CRBL) HOF.
Jon is available for private instruction at our facility starting Jan 15th and will be available Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings this winter. With his long list of credentials and experience, he will be a great resource for local pitchers.
