We are thrilled to announce the hiring of Nick Emanuel to our coaching staff.
A native of Esko MN, Emanuel's professional career began with the Great Falls Voyagers of the MLB-partnered Pioneer League, where he signed in 2021 and played through 2023. His capability was evident right away, posting a .284 batting average with an impressive .441 OBP in 2021, and improving to a .307 average with a .367 OBP in 2022.
Prior to his professional stint, Emanuel was a standout at Division 1 North Dakota State University, playing from 2017 to 2021. As a catcher, his career fielding percentage of .995 set a school record, and in his senior year, he led his team as Captain to the Summit League Championship, earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team. Emanuel graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Management Communication, complemented by minors in Business Administration and Sociology, and certificates in Professional Selling and Coaching. His academic achievements included a 3.4 GPA, Dean's List honors, and participation in the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Transitioning into coaching, Emanuel has been an assistant coach with UW-Eau Claire Baseball since 2024. He also served as the hitting, catching, and third base coach for the La Crosse Loggers in the Northwoods League this past season, where his team clinched the Great Plains Division Championship. His tenure saw the team set records in stolen bases and runs scored. Emanuel previously held a similar role at UW-Superior from 2021 to 2024, showcasing his commitment to developing young talent and continuing his legacy in collegiate baseball.
Nick is available immediately for both hitting and catching lessons at our facility.
Nick resides in Altoona with his wife Hannah.
